Autumn/Winter Wearable Catwalk Trends from @VintageDeli

From oversized geometrics to 70s psychedelic, prints are going to be hotter than ever this season, chunky knits with a graphic statement is a personal must have. Fashion week saw the return of leopard, snake and zebra prints on the runway so expect to see spots and stripes all over the high street once again.

Leather is another must have for this Autumn/Winter. Leather skirts and leather jackets are both great staple items for any wardrobe. We've got gorgeous leather jackets from the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, a gorgeous studded cropped jacket (ABOVE) & masses more one off Leather treats. If you aren’t feeling quite that bold you can start with leather accessories or detailing.

 

With a new season comes a new colour pallet. Had enough of black? Burgundy is heading this way and taking over as the hottest colour Autumn/Winter. Other shades being splashed all over the catwalk are purple, olive green and black teamed with blue.

Although the oversized coat is dominating the Autumn/Winter runway this season is all about emphasizing those curves, not hiding them. The peplum trend is on full swing and will carry you straight through to Autumn. By all means, envelope yourself in a soft dressing gown-esque coat a la vintage but don’t put away those statement belts - this season’s way of getting elegantly waisted.  

Another big trend on the runway this Autumn/Winter is western. Although not always a great hit with fashionistas, shirts with a hint of cowboy, embroidered bombers with cropped denim and even cowboy hats will play a significant role in the new fashion season. You can always just rock it with shoes!

The Regal fashion from the 50s still outshines that of modern day fashion with it’s impeccable tailoring and beautifully bright prints. A Taste of Britain Jubilee Shoot 2012
True English Style – after a week of heatwave we endeavored to have our shoot on the first forcast of rain for over a month! Little did we know that was set to stay. But, we dodged the rainfall & had a few spare moments where the sun came out. With the wonderful bunch of people we had, we were guaranteed to have a successful day. Whatever the Weather!
Set in the Royal Wolferton Train Station where the queen was once collected from her journeys up to the Sandringham Estate. It couldn’t have been a more apt.

Vintage Deli's Brand New Look

Over the last week we have been shaking things up here in Burnham Market and giving our lovely Vintage Deli Boutique a glamorous new look. It has been a lot of hard work, but we are so happy with the final outcome we can't stop smiling! 

In the back room we have retained the cosy, quirkiness of Vintage Deli and filled it with warm winter jumpers and accessories. The biggest transformation can be seen in the main room, with new rails, displays and a fresh coat of paint it couldn't look more different. 

Another change that we are very excited to announce is the long awaited addition of a Menswear section. No more moaning from those reluctant boyfriends and husbands, now they can shop too. With a stunning range of coats, jumpers and scarves and much more, they will be more than happy to browse. 

If you are looking for an excuse to come and see the changes and do a bit of shopping then why not pop down on Friday 2nd December for a night of 'Masterpieces, Mulled Wine and Mince Pies'. A wide selection of independent boutiques in Burnham Market will be opening late until 7pm to help you get your christmas shopping done. 

What better way to enjoy the Christmas lights than with a glass of mulled wine, some mince pies and some shopping?
